I have been in love with this coat ever since seeing it on fashion blogger styleMBA. Going against the majority of fashion bloggers – and females in my age category in general(!) – I don’t usually shop in Topshop. I find it is a lot of navigating through slogan bodysuits and croptops these days that really aren’t my style. However that’s not to say that it doesn’t have some lovely pieces, and in my opinion this coat is one of them!
I have wanted a longline fur coat for some time now. The only one I have currently has much longer hairs and is less subtle, so I like soft, almost velvety feel of this one. I’m not one for being daring with my outfits and clashing contrasting vibrant colours and patterns, but I do like quirky, different pieces. This coat ticks all the boxes as the colourblock patchwork design is unique and different, but the soft pastel colours keep it toned down and in-line with my usual style.
You can easily jazz up a very simple outfit by throwing this coat on as you walk out the door, which is exactly what I have done here. The rest of my outfit is simply a white jumper and charcoal grey skinny jeans, so it looks like you have put much more effort into your outfit than you really have which is always a bonus!
In case you didn’t notice, I also took the plunge and went for the chop this weekend… I got about 5 inches taken off the length of my hair and also had a side fringe/bangs put in! I’m still trying to get used to it!
